We continued to work on repairing and repainting the interiors of the
Haines Street cottages in Port Townsend. These are seven small houses owned
by the Olympic Community Action Program (OlyCAP) and used as temporary shelter
for people in need. Ken Winter, Jim McKay, George Ansley, Mel Morris, Bud
Schindler and Myron Vogt finished of the fourth cottage in early March. The
fifth cottage is scheduled for the end of March. We will probably finish
the last two cottages in April and May. If funding is approved, we will do
a second round of improvement in the cottages by installing new flooring.
Completion of this task should take us into the fall of this year.
